Study association Aktief Slip

Aktief Slip is the study association for students participating in the study programmes Milieukunde (BMK), Environmental Sciences (MES), Urban Environmental Management (MUE), and Management of Marine Ecosystems (MMM) at Wageningen University. The name is in Dutch and originates from the bacteria containing material (active sludge), that is used to clean water, soil and air.

The association was established in 1966 and is managed by students. The goal of the association is to promote the integration of students of Environmental Sciences in Wageningen by organising activities, where students from different disciplines can meet. These activities can be educational, strictly fun, or both. The board leads the association with subsequent committees, which organize various activities. Apart from the activities, Aktief Slip has two committees that guard the quality of the education, and promote the study programmes.
